Hot Springs Village Trails
DeSoto Park Nature Trail
|
A natural surface walking trail 0.4 mile in length. The first loop is level, and the second loop has an easy grade uphill
to a bench overlook.

DeSoto Spillway Trail
|
It follows the spillway on the east side from DeSoto Park Lane to Lake DeSoto. This is a natural surface 0.8 mile trail
with some rocky and uneven terrain. |

Coronado Center Walking Trail
|
It circles the Coronado Community Center, Coronado Fitness Center, and the Coronado Tennis Center and courts.
The trail is 0.5 mile long. |

Cedar Creek Walking Trail
|
A combination of four paths for a total of 2.5 miles of trail. This is a beautiful, wooded nature trail
with level terrain except for a slight incline on the Mourning Dove Path. Bridges across Cedar Creek separate the loops, and there are several benches overlooking the
creek. Entrance to the trail is located on Minorca Road, 1.4 miles south of DeSoto Blvd. Two parking areas are available. |

Gerona Wilderness Trail

It is a rough-walking trail that is 0.2 mile long. The trail can be accessed from Fresno Road, east of La Mancha Way. |

Hernando Trail
|
It is a 2.5 miles long trail that parallels DeSoto Blvd between Calella and Cortez. The surface is packed gravel and
offers some challenges as well as level walking. This a good exercise trail. Parking is available at either end. Extensions to the east are planned. |

Hernando Trail at Woodlands
|
It is a natural area offering a pleasant stroll for people attending events at the Woodlands Auditorium or Ponce de Leon Center or visiting the
HSV Veteran’s Memorial. This trail will someday connect with the Hernando Trail. |

Lake Balboa Spillway Trail
|
It s a 1.2 mile loop on the embankment connecting Lake Balboa primary and secondary Spillways. Benches located
on the upper embankment overlook Lake Balboa. Access is via the back of the Magellan Golf Parking lot. |

Lake Coronado Boat Ramp Walking Trail
|
It is a one-third mile, gravel-surfaced trail bordering Lake Coronado. The trail is handicapped accessible and
includes a paved path to Anglers Island. Parking is available at the Boat Ramp off Murillo Way. |

Magellan Beaver Dam Trail
|
It is a nature trail, with a natural surface, 0.7 mile in length. The trail is located on Cloaca Road (near the
POA Animal Shelter). The trail begins just south of the boat storage. Parking is available adjacent to Cloaca Road. |

DeSoto Multipurpose Trail

It is a 3.5 mile loop with hard surface, a variety of challenges, and up/down hill walking. Parking is available at the
main trailhead, across from the handicapped fishing dock on Calella Road. A half-mile spur connects to the golf pro shop at DeSoto Golf Course. |

DeSoto Marina Multipurpose Trail

It is a beautiful 0.6 mile paved path along Lake DeSoto ending at the handicapped fishing area on Calella Road. This trail
can be combined with the DeSoto Multipurpose Trail for a 4.7 mile walk. |

Sonora Emperado Calella Multipurpose Trail

It is a gently rolling, hard surfaced path, 0.66 mile long, along DeSoto Blvd from DeSoto Games area to DeSoto Center. |

Cart Lanes
|
Asphalt surfaced lanes on the shoulder of major roads, primarily intended for golf carts and
bicycles. The lanes are marked with diamonds. Pedestrian traffic should use caution and stay alert. |
Barcelona Cart Lane
|
It is 2.5 miles long, on the north shoulder of Barcelona Rd and the east shoulder of Cortez Rd, from Santa Maria Rd to Docientos Way. The lane provides for golf cart travel to the Cortez Golf Course. |

Carmona Cart Lane

It is 1.1 miles long, on the east side of Carmona Rd from DeSoto Blvd to Barcelona Rd. |

It is m1.3 mile long, on the south shoulder of Santa Maria and connects to the Barcelona Cart Lane, the DeSoto
Multipurpose Trail. It provides for golf cart travel to DeSoto or Cortez Golf Courses. |
